Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 9 September 2026

This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for purchases of Nikatru apps and digital content. Nikatru is a proprietorship of Rajasekar Selvam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Read it alongside our Terms of Service and our Shipping & Delivery Policy.

Checkout is not open yet. You cannot buy anything on nikatru.com today, and we have taken no payments. This page states the policy that will apply the moment paid checkout opens, so that you can read it before you ever have to rely on it.

1. Which section applies to you

Who refunds you depends on who took your money, and your receipt names them.

2. International purchases — Paddle, merchant of record

For purchases outside India, our online reseller Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record. Paddle, not Nikatru, is the legal seller: it takes the payment, issues the receipt and issues the refund back to your original payment method. The Paddle entity named on your receipt is the party you contracted with.

30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not happy with a purchase, ask us for a refund within 30 days of the charge and we will approve it. You do not need to give a reason, and you do not lose the right by having downloaded, activated or used the product. Once approved, Paddle returns the money to your original payment method; Paddle's own timings then apply, and your bank or card issuer may add a few days before it shows on your statement.

How to ask. Email support@nikatru.com with the order or transaction ID from your Paddle receipt, or use the buyer support link on that receipt to contact Paddle directly. We reply within 2 business days.

3. India — purchases taken through Razorpay

For purchases made in India on nikatru.com, Nikatru is the seller and Razorpay is the payment gateway that collects the money for us. We handle these refunds ourselves.

These commitments are made under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 — Rule 4, which requires us to publish our identity, contact details and grievance route, and Rule 7, which requires a seller to state its return, refund and cancellation terms plainly — and under our merchant agreement with Razorpay.

4. Purchases billed by an app store

If you bought a subscription or an in-app item inside an app using the store's own billing — the Apple App Store or Google Play — that store took the payment and is the seller. Refunds for those purchases go through the store's own process, not through Nikatru, and the store decides:

We cannot issue a store refund ourselves, but email us and we will help you put the request together.

5. Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals; your current paid period runs to its end and you keep access until then. Cancel through your app store account for a store purchase, through the link on your Paddle receipt or your account settings for a Paddle purchase, or by emailing us for an India purchase. Beyond the 30-day window above, we do not refund the unused part of a period already paid for, unless the law where you live says otherwise.

6. Things we always refund

7. Contact and grievances

Email support@nikatru.com with your order or transaction ID. If you are not satisfied with how we handled a refund, our Grievance Officer is named on the Contact page and will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 days.

This policy is offered in good faith for our digital products and does not limit any statutory consumer rights you may have where you live.
